Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra make engagement official with traditional ceremony

It’s official.

Early Saturday morning Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrated their engagement in a traditional roka ceremony in Mumbai.

“The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings,” Chopra wrote on Instagram along with posting a gallery of photos of the special day.

A roka is a traditional pre-wedding festivity in India where a couple’s engagement is formally announced in front of their friends and family. The ceremony, for “Jopra,” as Page Six has called them, took place at the “Quantico” actress’ residence, where the two dressed in traditional garb according to the Times of India.

The couple, who were engaged after two months of dating, both took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone.

“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” Jonas, 25, wrote of the happy couple, while the actress, 36, showed off her ring as the two gazed into each other’s eyes.

“Taken..with all my heart and soul” she captioned the same photo.

The couple was joined by Jonas’ parents, who were in Chopra’s hometown to meet her family. Jonas’ dad arrived for the meeting with a large Tiffany’s bag, keeping with the theme of the engagement after their son reportedly closed down a London Tiffany’s store to shop for the rock.

Friday evening the couple was photographed by paparazzi at Mumbai’s JW Marriot, according to Splash News.

Earlier this month, she finally debuted the ring on Instagram — which is estimated to cost between $110,000 and $150,000 — in a photo with a fellow actress.
