Family Time Revving Up for 3rd Season

I like to watch TV. But a lot of what’s on the tube now just doesn’t do it for me. I find myself trolling TV Land, looking for an old Full House or Different World episode that will take me from the tense and drama filled life of today. Well, thankfully, Bounce TV is bringing us it’s third season of the sitcom “Family Time”.

“Family Time” chronicles the lives of the recently relocated Stallworth family, guided by Tony (Omar Gooding –Baby Boy, The Gospel ), a struggling general contractor, and Lisa (Angell Conwell Baby Boy, Young and the Restless), an unfulfilled stay-at-home mom. The family moved because Tony hit the jackpot with a $500 million lottery scratch off ticket. The Stallworth moved from the ‘hood’ to the edge of the ‘hood’, a definite upgrade.

The show’s first two seasons followed the family and friends in around them as they comically adjust to their new life, dealt with relationships from their old neighborhood, and raised their two kids in this new environment. Season three expands things as we get to see the backstories of the characters. Guest stars for season three include Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), Cheryl ‘Salt’ James and Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton (Salt N Pepa), Jason Weaver (Drumline, Smart Guy), Mark Curry (Hangin’ With Mr Cooper), and more. “The main focus of the show is to show the African American experience of families today” says Director and Executive Producer Bentley Kyle Evans.

Evans is no slouch to directing sitcom television, having served as the show-runner of FOX-TV’s smash hit Martin starring Martin Lawrence and The  Jamie  Foxx  Show for The WB. “This show looks at life today and will deals with some of today’s issues from time to time, but in a light hearted, comedic way. Make it fun and not so serious.”

Be sure to check out the season three premiere of “Family Time” on Bounce TV on October 6 (check your local listings)
