Don Mattingly and the Los Angeles Dodgers have mutually agreed to part ways, thus ending his tenure as Dodgers manager. The Dodgers, who were eliminated by the New York Mets in this year’s playoffs, were looking for a more statistic minded skipper. Rumors have swirled since the beginning of the season that Mattingly’s days would be numbered if the dodgers did not make this years world series. The dodgers have among the top payrolls in Major League Baseball this year, yet still did not advance deep into the playoffs.
