Kobe’s Falling Apart

The LA Lakers are 10 days into their 2015-2016 campaign and Kobe Bryant is longing for an ice bath and a day off. The 37 years old veteran and perennial all-star’s body is having a hard time dealing with the grind of a typical NBA season.

Kobe gave everything he had at the Laker’s last game against Detroit Pistons on Sunday, basically willing the Lakers to a 97-85 victory at the Staples Center.

“We’ve got to get this win here at home,” Bryant said. “(But) right now, I’m barely standing up. My back and my legs, it’s killing me. I go home, and I’m looking forward to that ice bath and the stretch, and a full day of recovery tomorrow. … I’m not looking forward to walking to the car. Seriously.”

Kobe played a season high 37 minutes and went 6 for 19 from the field. He did however have a season high in assists. The Lakers have a 2-8 record this season, and the team felt another loss at home would be disastrous.
