Orlando Prep For Cleveland After Loss

The Orlando Magic forwards Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, and Tobias Harris have a tough task in their hands tonight: Guard one of the NBA’s best players EVER, LaBron James. The Magic visit the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight to take on what looks like a tough task for the scrappy team.

Orlando has put up impressive defensive numbers this season, even reaching the top 5 in come NBA defensive categories, but they seem to falter when it counts: bringing home the win.

The Magic were fighting towards having a record over .500 for the first time in over two years. They had strong performances against Utah and Minnesota that both resulted in hard fought wins, but Saturday’s Sacramento Kings game didn’t work out that way.

The Magic committed five turnovers and went 1 for 8 from the field, the Kings closed out the quarter on a 22-2 run with center DeMarcus Cousins and point guard Rajon Rondo leading the way. It was too much for them to recover and they lost the game to the Kings 97-91.

Now they head to Cleveland, having lost their last 10 contests against the Cav’s. The Magic have not beaten the Cav’s since 2012, and Labron and his team are on a mission to win a championship that seemed to slip through their grasp due to injuries last season.

The Magic Play the Cavaliers tonight 7pm, at Quicken Loans Arena.
