Was This Kobe’s Final Game At MSG?

Yesterday may have been Kobe Bryant’s last game at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Kobe and his Los Angeles Lakers faced the New York Knicks yesterday and lost by a score of 99-95. Bryant has been struggling this year with a Lakers team that is in the midst of rebuilding. He scored a respectable 18 points, but this hardly compares to past great MSG performances when he dropped 61 points on the lowly Knicks.

Kobe was recently up front about his frustrations about his recent struggles, including a 3 for 13 performance against Dallas last Friday. “I’m the 200th-best player in the league right now,” Bryant said. “I freaking suck. ”

It is believed that due to Kobe being sidelined with a shoulder injury for most of last season and not being able to shoot for such a long time has effected his game. Kobe is in the final year of his current deal with the Lakers and has recently expressed his doubt about returning for another season.
