That was Kanye West’s plan before he decided to pull out of service with Joel Osteen. The rapper and his infamous choir were slated to join the pastor for a special Easter Sunday performance however, it’s been canceled due to health concerns.

Reported on TMZ, Kanye and his choir were going to be in Los Angeles and record a few songs for Joel. The choir, which has about 100 members, was planning on wearing masks, gloves, and practice social distancing. The article reports that once Ye gave the plan more thought, he felt it wasn’t safe, so he decided to pull the plug.

The online service will still have Mariah Carey singing a song and Tyler Perry delivering a special word. Viewers can watch on multiple platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Apple TV, SiriusXM 128 Sunday (April 12) at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Central time.
