Philadelphia Knocks New England Out of MLS is Back With 1-0 Win

KISSIMMEE, FL – The Philadelphia Union defeated the New England Revolution Saturday Night at the MLS is Back Tournament at Disney World.

Sergio Santos provided all of the match’s scoring in the 63rd minute. Kai Wagner intercepted a ball in midfield and fed Jamiro Monteiro. The Dutch midfielder played an inch-perfect ball over the head if Santos who played the ball off his knee and finished well over an onrushing Matt Turner inside the side netting.

The loss knocks New England out of the tournament, Philly advances to the quarterfinals on Thursday to meet the winner of the Round of 16 clash between Sporting Kansas City and the Vancouver Whitecaps Sunday.
