3 Exciting Teams to watch for during the 2022-2023 NBA Season

Exciting Teams to watch for during the 2022-2023 NBA Season

With so many young players emerging throughout the league, the NBA’s future is magnificent. It commands the attention of supporters across the board when there are so many capable young groups ready to help their team become a competitor. With so many clubs prepared to make that leap in the coming months, this upcoming season will undoubtedly be the best example of it. The following are five groups that fans should watch out for if they have a chance to advance in 2022-2023.

  1. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are supposedly the team in the Eastern Conference with the best young center. Their top four driving scorers from the previous year are all under the age of 25. These included Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland, both of whom were selected for the NBA All-Star Game. As a result, Cleveland became the main team with two All-Stars who were both under 25. Along with Garland and Allen, they also have rising sophomore Evan Mobley, who came close to winning Rookie of the Year last year. All rookies were outperformed by Mobley in rebounding (8.3) and blocked shots (1.7), adding 15.0 points per game on 51% field goal shooting. Another team that has a good mix of young and experienced players that contribute greatly both on and off the court in Cleveland. Names like Cedi Osman, Caris LeVert, Lauri Markkanen, Ricky Rubio, and Kevin Love add tremendous depth to the Cavaliers’ roster.

  1. New Orleans Pelicans

In their first-round season-ending series against the Phoenix Suns, the New Orleans Pelicans corrected NBA fans. There were many positive outcomes from the series, although they lost in six games. First off, Brandon Ingram had a spectacular season-ending debut, leading the series in scoring with an average of 27.0 points per contest. He gave CJ McCollum high appreciation for setting off with 22.2 focuses on his own. Jonas Valanciunas excelled in the paint, scoring 14.5 points and 14.3 rebounds. Herbert Jones and Jose Alvarado, the Pelicans’ newcomer duo, had a significant impact on the series with their superb defensive play. The Pelicans’ performance was made the more impressive by the fact that they completed it without their star big man Zion Williamson. The group can accomplish anything going forward, assuming Zion is entirely safe and they continue to build together.

  1. Sacramento Kings

For the Sacramento Kings, to say that things have been dull would be an understatement. This is the longest season-ending dry spell in NBA history because they haven’t played any games since roughly 2006. The Kings have finished last in the Pacific division numerous times over that time, including each of the last two seasons. That begs the question of why it would be wise for us to concentrate on the Sacramento Kings during this next preparation. Under the leadership of new head coach Mike Brown, the Kings have made a few decisions that may turn the team’s fortunes as they begin their most historic season. At the exchange cutoff time, the Kings sent Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Domantas Sabonis. By acquiring Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk during the summer, they made up for trading their emerging star watch. They will work together with De’Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell in the backcourt. The Kings’ season-ending drought may not end, but their supporters should be excited about what this team might accomplish.
