Orlando City Falls to Nashville 2-0 for second consecutive home loss

ORLANDO, FL – Orlando City SC lost to Nashville SC at Exploria Stadium on Saturday night. It was their second loss in a row at home.

The game opened with a moment of silence for those who senselessly lost their lives at The Covenant School in Nashville. 6 people were shot in yet another mass shooting in the US. Three adults, and more trigly, three children.

The Lions, playing as the “Orlando Sea Cows” tonight (April Fools) had a great crods of over 20.100 people in the stands for tonights game.

Orlando, coming off of a 2-1 victory in Philadelphia against the Union, came into the match looking to right the ship at home, but Nashville, who has always given the Lions a tough game, took advantage of Orlando Msicues to score two, and almost three games to take home the win.

In the 28th minute, Fabricé-Jean Picault took advantage of Orlando’s Pedro Gallese coming pout too far and took a free kick quickly, leaving Gallese out too far. Pinault looped a ball over Pedro’s head for the easy opening score.

The Music are coming off of a 2 game losing streak, and came into Orlando to try to right the ship. as with their typical play abasing the Lions, they look for you to make mistakes and pounce on it, looking for that opening to score. Once they have it, the lock down on defense. 

In the 74th minute, Hana Mukhtar sealed the game with a score, making the tally 2-0. Mukhtar ran non through the defense and cut one in on a tough angle past Gallese for the score.

Orlando Head Coach Oscar Pareja is not happy with tonight’s home result, especially since it’s the second loss on home turf.

“Disappointed, tough being at home in front of our fans and not getting the result.”Said Orlando Head Coach Oscar Pareja. “It is the most painful part. The analysis of the game, I thought we made a couple mistakes on the defensive phase that costs the game in terms of chasing it all the time. Defensively those two mistakes and then offensively when we had the chances we could not score. ”

Orlando heads out the St Paul, MN to face off against Minnesota United on Saturday April 15th.
