Magic guard Gary Harris injures his left knee

ORLANDO, FL –  Orlando Magic 3 & D guard Gary Harris injured his knee. ESPN’s Adrian Worjnarowski reports that Harris suffered a torn left meniscus in his left knee and will undergo further evaluation to determine a timetable for his return to the Magic.

Harris is one of the few veterans on the Magic squad with veteran experience. He signed a two year extension with the team in June.

Orlando acquired Harris from the Denver Nuggets as part of a trade for Forward Aaron Gordon, and averaged 11.1 points per game with a respectable 57.1 true shooting percentage.

Harris’ recovery will more than likely require surgery, but the length of recovery is still up in the air.

Harris was one of a few players,  including Terrance Ross, whom the Magic have been looking to trade before going into the new season, to help the team continue to build.

Orlando  has a roster full of promising young player, including 2022 first round pick, forward Paolo Banchero.
