How To Make Any Outfit Look Expensive

By: Deirnesa Jefferson

It’s the ultimate dilemma– You want to look stylish and classy, but you don’t want to break the bank or your budget while doing it. So what is the solution to this problem? The key is finding  pieces that look expensive but in actuality are quite affordable.

Be a fashion trail blazer- A blazer is a staple piece for your closet. Black blazers  look great with a variety of outfits. You can wear as blazer and a pencil skirt for a day in the office or dress it down and pair it with jeans and heels for a more causal day or night look. A good structured blazer will definitely make any  outfit look trendy and and chic.

It’s all about the shoes- Your choice in footwear can either make or break your outfit. A good polished sleek pair of shoes makes you look classy and well put together. On the another hand the converse is true; a worn out pair of shoes automatically brings down your outfit. So choose wisely! Invest in a quality pair of shoes that are comfortable and stylish.

Be careful with prints- Cheetah print, zebra print, polka dot— you think it’s cute but sometimes it’s not. Prints can be fun to wear but they can also make your outfit look inexpensive and outdated.  Instead opt for solid colors such as black or white ,which are classic and always look great.

Go timeless not trendy- If you really want to your outfit to have a lasting impression, try classic looks instead of the latest trends. For example destroyed denim is trendy now but choosing  a straight leg dark wash jean is an option that won’t become outdated.
