Julie Alias’ Project “Unbroken” Inspires Listeners With Hope

Life is full of ups and downs, and sometimes we are left feeling defeated, depleted and just beat up. We feel like failures. We feel broken. But singer/songwriter Julie Elias delivers hope for those in this situation with her sophomore album “Unbroken”. The 12 track EP shows understanding to those who feel hurt and broken and offers hope and uplifts the listeners in her lyrics.

“I actually wrote & co-wrote every song on this album except for “The Love of the Lord Endures” and “It is Well.” These songs were all inspired by my experiences in the last 2-3 years, which has been a roller coaster journey of highs and lows. I have always struggled with letting go of things and moving forward and it took a long time for me to realize that it is a choice to do that.” says Elias. God wants us to be active in our choices and choose HIM and His plan for our future. That’s hard to do when you’re stuck in the past.”

The rock/pop songs (with a little twinge of country) concentrate on conveying that she understands that you may be hurting, but you have to get up and move on. God has plans for you. “The message is trusting God to turn your brokenness into a message for His glory.” Elias explains.

Stand out songs are the albums title track, a rocking message of hope, the pop/ rock song “Why” also offer messages of understanding and encouragement. The gorgeous ballad “Butterfly” extolls about the beauty of who you are inside and out.

Elias’ voice is a pleasure to listen to, and this album is an inspiring record and true to help those who are going through some tough situations. Well done Julie Elias.
