The Orlando Magic showed that they are an organization with heart yesterday as they teamed up with Pepsico and Walmart to give back to kids from the Central Florida Boys and Girls Clubs.
Magic players Evan Fournier, Jason Smith, and Channing Frye as well as Magic Ambassadors Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson took kids from the Sanford, Orlando, and Ocoee on a shopping spree in Walmart. Each child received a $100 gift card from Walmart on which they were allowed to buy whatever they wanted.
The kids were overwhelmed as the magic players, staff, and cheerleaders took them in groups throughout the store. “We want to go to toys,” then “We want to go to electronics,” and then Back to toys!”
One little girl told Magic Evan Fournier that “she could take him” in a basketball one on one. It was laughs and joy and the smiles on the kid’s faces was infectious as the Christmas spirit was in the air.
