Michael Bublé’s 3-year-old son battles liver cancer

lvbuble10f-1-webMichael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato’s three-year-old son Noah has been diagnosed with liver cancer following a recent biopsy.

The pair’s eldest child has reportedly already began his chemotherapy in Los Angeles, according to Gente. The treatments are expected to last four months.

“Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to over come this,” Lopilato’s older sister, Daniela told the magazine. “We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come, but it’s got to be done.”

Lopilato in October took her son — suffering from a high fever at the time — to a hospital in Buenos Aires where she’d been preparing to film “Numb, At the Edge of the End” with Harvey Kietel and Hayden Christensen.

After ruling out mumps and other potential health issues like mononucleosis or a throat infection, Noah underwent an ultrasound which revealed an irregularity with his liver.

Bublé and his Argentian wife, who also share 8-month-old Elias, earlier this month took to social media to reveal the diagnosis.

“We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God we can win this battle,” they wrote on Facebook, adding they’d both be putting their careers on the back burner to take care of their son.
