Nothing is going right for the Warriors right now, but they avoided a potential disaster Friday morning.
Stephen Curry, the two-time league MVP who has been out since Nov. 8 with a groin injury, was involved in a multi-car accident near Oakland, Calif. Reports from the scene suggest Curry was unharmed.
A highway patrol spokesman told the local ABC station Curry’s Porsche was struck twice and that wet weather in the area likely was a factor in the accident.
Another driver reportedly spun out and hit Curry, who then was rear-ended by a different vehicle.
While the superstar’s Porsche was severely damaged, Curry arrived at the Warriors shoot-around a short time later and was uninjured.
That, of course, is apart from the lingering and unrelated groin issue that has sent the two-time defending champion Golden State spiraling.
The Warriors have lost four in a row, but perhaps, they can count Curry’s safety as a win.
