ORLANDO – The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Orlando Magic 123-91 in front of 15,105 fans at the Amway Center last night. It was a thorough beating.
Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo scored at will and lead all acroeres with 29 points as fellas pulling down 14 rebounds as he took over in the fourth quarter and was doing pretty much anything he wanted to on the floor.
Magic head coach Steve Clifford was not happy about it at all.
“It’s simple” Said Clifford in his 53 second post game statement, “The people most responsible for how hard a team plays every night is the head coach and the best players. Thats how the NBA works”
“[We} Gave up 36 fast break points when it was the biggest emphasis this morning.. And the second-biggest emphasis was the 3-point game, of which they were wide open. Wide open.”
The Bucks shot a torrent of 47 3-point whits and made 17.
Aaron Gordon, who scored 11 points on 3 for 10 shooting, agrees.
” At the end of the day, the coaching staff can give you a game plan that’s going to put us in a piston to win the game, but as players, we have to go out there and execute.” said Gordon ” We’ve got togo out there and win, but we didn’t do it.”
Milwaukee guard Eric Bledsoe scored 18 points and was able to knock down 8 of his 15 shots, and when he wan’t there, Kris Middleton shot 7 of 9 for 16.
Giannis was pleased with his teams efforts.
“We stayed aggressive on both ends of the ball, Get the loose balls and bring that energy, bring that tenacity”, said Giannis “just help the team get a spark and got this win like we did today”
As for the Magic, four of the five starters scored in double digits with Vucevic scoring 19, Fournier scoring 14, and Isaac and Gordon dropping 11. They gave up 36 fast break points to the Bucks, while only having two on their side.
Hopefully the boys in blue can seep it off tonight. Because tomorrow, they face the Denver Nuggets at Amway.
