RUMOR: Jonathan Isaac Cleared to Play on Monday

KISSIMMEE, FL – Rumors are out that Orlando Magic Forward Jonathan Isaac has been cleared to play in the teams final scrimmage against the Denver Nuggets.

Isaac suffered a posterior lateral corner injury to his left knee when his leg wrapped around Bradley Beal’s leg on a fast break layup attempt on Jan. 1 in Washington, D.C.At the time of the injury, it didn’t seem to be serious, bat after further inspection, it was discovered how badly it was damaged.

It did not, however, require any surgery. It just took a long and hard rehab journey and it was to be evaluated in March.

The pandemic was a gift to Isaac, and he got extra months for rehab, strength training work to get himself ready for this long awaited return to the floor.

With the extra time and the season extended, Isaac’s return was one of the biggest questions for the Magic

The wait and the wonder is over.

Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports — and Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel has since confirmed — Isaac has been cleared to play and will suit up for the Orlando Magic in Monday’s final scrimmage against the Denver Nuggets.

Isaac had become a defensive force for the Magic before he went down. He was a league leader in stops and blocs with 1.6 steals and 2.4 blocks per game.He was an emerging candidate for the all league defensive team.
