ORLANDO MAGIC Dominate Atlanta Hawks 135-124 for 4th Straight Win

ORLANDO, FL – The ORLANDO MAGIC kept their winning ways going with a dominant win over the Atlanta Hawks 135-124. This is Orlando’s fourth straight win this season and a good sign that they are really turning the season around.

The Magic are slowly improving on their 9-20 record with solid wins against strong teams. The 4-game winning streak is the first for Orlando since the 2020 season.

Orlando had eight players in double digits in scoring (a team record), with Franz Wagner leading the squad with 24 points and 50% shooting from deep. Bol Bol scored 21 points, the sixth game this season that he’s scored 20 or more points. 

Markelle Fultz scored 16 points and 9 assists, steering the Magic to push the ball and keep the Hawks on their heels.

Paolo Banchero has now scored 20+ points 17 times this season, the most by any NBA rookie this season. 

Orlando rocketed out in front from the beginning of the game, putting 50 points on the boards in the first quarter, a team record. By the end of the alf, Orlando still held a 29 point lead.

Atlanta roared back in the third quarter on the play of De’Andre Hunter, who fought to keep Atlanta in the game with his 25 points, making room for Clint Capella and Tre Young to reach double digits.

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 17 off of the bench for the Hawks, and they managed to get tie the game.

Orlando managed to keep the edge in rebounding and dominated in fast breaks 19-4. 

They held their turnovers to 14 tonight, only speeding 11 points to the Hawks.

“We were locked in from the beginning.” Said Markell Fultz. “We took care of the ball and pushed the pace to get up early. I just go out there and give my teammate a belief,  let them know that if they’re open I’m going to get them the ball.” 

Bol Bol continues to surprise with his play. In the fourth quarter, Bol grabbed a rebound drove the floor, spun around a Hawks defender, drove the lane and dunked it. The Magic Bench leapt in the air as Bol Brought the house down.

Orlando heads up to Boston to face the first place Celtics in a back to back baseball series.
