Music at Center Stage at ICFF from Nominees to National Artists

ORLANDO, FL – The 11th annual International Christian. Film and Music Center had a very strong music showing this year in Orlando Florida.

From super informative music seminars, including a seminar featuring Super Producer Rodney Jerkins, former Pussycat Doll turned grammy award wining Christian artist Kaya Jones, national Christian Hip Hop artist Canon, and Stellar award recognized Gospel singer Thomas ware, to a panel looking to different levels of Christian radio, from a small local Gospel station to a mega Contemporary Christian station, to a Sirius XM Christian Hip hop station.

There were many performances, starting with the ICFF Music Showcase, where nominees for Best Performing Artist performed in front of judges from the music business to see who would win the “ICFF Angel Award” in the festival’s Oscar-style awards shows.

Australian Singer Emmaline, a strong performer in the ICFF Music Showcase of the song “Turn the Tide”(Theme song for The 12th Letter)

Australian singer Emmaline was a standout, as her haunting vocals producing the perfect image for title song of the film “Turn the Tide”(Theme song for The 12th Letter).

Yet, it was the spectacular talent of 13- year old Jesse Rae from Northern California talking home the Angel award for he perfomance of the song “Rain”, which she says the she wrote when she was…11 years old.

The music continued into the night with the “Vibes and Glory” Showcase, mixing harder Christian Hip Hop artists Canon and Tommy Royal with softer Hip Hop and Rhythm and Praise artists Roy Tosh, V Rose, and Kelly Flores.

The mix proved to create and atmosphere of fun as well as energy with what seemed to be a perfect mix of artists and styles.

Later in the week, the ICFF Award Shows were rated to some powerful performances.

Gospel Singer LaRue Howard timed up with rappers Canon, Diallo, and others performed the song “Rise Up” from the Angel award winning film “Senior Year”. The powerful performance in the 8pm ICFF awards show (So many awards that they had to divide them into two shows), Also included a choir with the powerful performance.

The film was the perfect complement of the film’s win as Audience choice for Best Feature Film.

Kaya Jones was a presence at ICFF 2023. The was on the panel with Rodney Jerkins about “Life in the Music Business” as well as in interviews throughout the festival.

Jones capped her incredible week with a powerful performance in both awards show, but made a strong image in the 8pm show, opening the night with a powerful spirit.
